Would You Give it All Up at 55?

Updated: Oct 18

Montana Retreat

She was 55 years old when she & her husband left California and bought 7000 acres in the middle of literally nowhere Montana.

It’s the beginning of a story that had me captivated as I sat around a fire with 18 other women at a Faith and Wellness Retreat at the Meadows on Rock Creek last weekend.

The woman who had opened this magnificent resort, made up of 10 immaculately modern yet rustic cottages on those 7000 acres in one of the prettiest locations I’ve ever seen - told the story.

She is yet another reminder that it’s never too late to start again and to live your absolute best chapter.

She's also a reminder that nature, and slowing down can be what keeps you going.

Most of us treat rest as a luxury. Scripture treats it as obedience. In my latest StRest episode with Rebekah Lyons, we talk about how Sabbath disciplines are directly tied to leadership, mental health, and resilience. If you feel like you can’t stop because everything will fall apart—this one’s for you.

Lets talk it out. I have room for a few more people in NEXT WEEKS GROUP COACHING. Not everyone can do a weekend retreat in Montana but I can help you through your health, wellness and faith journey in a small virtual group. ☀️ My personal HRT story - "This is about my brain, not my wrinkles.”

My mom died of dementia. I carry the APOE4 gene.

That’s why I’m not afraid of estrogen—I’m afraid of losing my mind.

HRT is part of my brain health plan. Because clarity, memory, and focus are gifts I intend to protect.
