Packing in all the face time with friends and family this week before I hit the road and the speaker circuit for the first half of October.

Lunches, dinners, walks…
These people save my life in so many ways.

One of the things I speak on is health benefits of relationships. Being in person around people is literally necessary for our survival.

I know it’s easy to hibernate, hide, claim to be an introvert, but you’ve got to be in - in person - community.

Even I think about cancelling or staying home and how much safer it is to say no to the invite, or not put in the effort to make the plans.

But just say yes!

Do it for your health.

Now watch me be in bed in my hotel by 7pm every night on the road 🤣🤣.

Has a mop ever made you cry? It happened on air when I was a host at QVC (yes I was and am a crier). I was explaining that this vacuum meets mop allows me to be a more present mom because Im not constantly stressed about cleaning up the kitchen and then missing moments with my family. 💡We know that fasting can help reduce inflammation, and cramps are a result of inflammation. Cynthia Thurlow (whom I adore and will be on stage at the Menopause Show in October) has spoken about the benefits of intermittent fasting on PMS in depth!

For me specifically, in talking to my doctor she suggested the lack of pain can also be attributed to the proximity of the uterus and bowel. Especially when I had endometriosis which is now often considered a disease of the bowel. Being “empty,” could have helped eliminate pain.

However; for a cycling woman it is critical that you dont skimp on the necessary amount of calories needed during your feeding window. And it’s vital that you only use long fasts during certain times of your cycle. Never doing your longer fasts the week or so before your period.

Cold plunging in the summer is hard to come by, the good news is just jumping in colder than your usual temperature body of water could be beneficial. Conversely allowing yourself to get hot right along with the weather could also do your body good.

I started kneeling before shows about 8 years ago. It’s vulnerable and makes me feel naked sometimes especially when I’m in a room full of people who might not know the Lord.

Imagine it….There’s commotion and chatter and urgency all around and here I am dropping to my knees.

This moment is the single most Important part of what allows me to be as successful as I am at what I do.

And even if I’m not successful in the world’s eyes it doesn’t matter. He is all I need. He will use me.
