The Ultrahuman Ring Update: What It Means for You.

Hi friends,
Many of you have heard the news that the Ultrahuman Ring is now banned in the United States. Here’s what’s really going on—and what it means for you.
What Happened
A recent ruling by the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) found that Ultrahuman’s Ring AIR infringed on patents held by Oura. As a result, the company is now banned from importing and selling new units in the U.S. as of October 21, 2025.
If you already own a ring purchased before that date, your data, app access, and warranty support remain fully intact.
Ultrahuman has confirmed your device will continue to work normally.
As both a fan and friend of the company, I’ve been in contact with them and trust that they will return to the U.S. market in time. They remain deeply committed to health innovation and have exciting things planned for the future.
What This Means for You
Since so many of us rely on trackers to monitor HRV, sleep patterns, daily movement, VO₂ max, and other key health markers, this shift means two things:
If you already have the Ultrahuman Ring — keep using it! Your data and insights remain valid, and you haven’t lost anything.
If you were waiting to buy a tracker or are ready for an upgrade — now is a good time to consider an alternative so you can stay consistent with your progress.
My Recommended Alternatives
Here are two excellent options I trust, both powerful in tracking the same core metrics:
Oura Ring – Exceptional for detailed sleep staging, HRV tracking, and recovery insights.
WHOOP Strap – Excellent for those focused on recovery, training load, and daily readiness, in addition to HRV and sleep.
Why Tracking Matters
Understanding your data helps you make informed, intentional decisions about your health.
HRV tells us how well our nervous system is recovering and adapting.
Sleep quality impacts hormones, metabolism, and immune strength.
Steps and movement support metabolic health and mood.
VO₂ max and training load reflect our resilience and long-term vitality.

The body God gave you is worth this kind of care, awareness, and curiosity.
Another Option
It’s okay to pause the tracking. In fact, sometimes a break is exactly what our bodies need. If this season calls for rest, use it to simply be present in your body—and let the Lord be your ultimate tracker.
Be well,
Kerstin
